Memmingen (FMM, EDJA) 27-08-2010

Upon arrival this airport has the feel of a Ryanair airport, however we saw a good variety of airlines departing from here during the weekend. Also of note is that we were unable to find the F104 that is supposed to be on a pole in the gate area, this may have been removed as part of the re-generation.

Tannheim (EDMT) 27-08-2010

Each year this small airfield in Bavaria comes to life for what is now known as "Tankosh", the scale of the event and the organisation is quite something to watch. While this year numbers were low by standards of previous years (under half of the parking space was used!) the turn out was still impressive, a few aircraft still remain with unknown types if anyone could help me out by pointing me towards a type I'd be very greatful. Another stop on the way to Tannheim, driving around an external perimeter road gave views across the ramp where all but one Transall could be read. We also got lucky with some of the based SAR UH-1's being out, however we were unable to ID any of the GA bits and bobs in the HAS's.
